WWE Draft Legacy Faction

January 13th 2009 09:36
According to a source in Florida Championship Wrestling, Harry "DH" Smith" is set to be called back up to the Raw roster any week now and become the newest member of Randy Orton's "Legacy" faction.

Smith has been off WWE television since last May. Shortly there after, Smith was drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2008 WWE Supplemental Draft. Smith, however, returned to Florida Championship Wrestling on August 26, without making his SmackDown debut. He made the decision to return to WWE's developmental promotion on a full-time basis so he could mature, and put more effort into developing his in-ring work and his personality

January 10th 2009 08:20
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, one employee of World Wrestling Entertainment referred to WWE's layoffs today as "The Titan Tower Massacre" with a number of department heads being let go. Various employees have noted just about every supervisor and boss they've had has been let go.

WWE reportedly had security guards escort the fired employees out of the building although that has not been confirmed

Major Layoffs At Titan Towers

January 9th 2009 08:00
A number of sources are reporting that staff at Titan Towers in Stamford, CT were laid off today. One source described the layoffs as "close to 10% of the staff." The cuts were employees from the television, WWE.com and the office area of the company. Several were let go today and more will be gone tomorrow.

According to Mike Johnson, former ECW referee Keenan Quinn who had been sent back down to Florida Championship Wrestling when the decision was made to use a singular crew of referees for a loop, as opposed to a separate collection of referees for each brand as part of WWE's economic cutbacks, was released this week

In the main event of next week's ECW on Sci-Fi, ECW champion Matt Hardy will defend against #1 contender Jack Swagger.

The UFC is one step closer to getting mixed martial arts sanctioned in New York. This afternoon, New York Governor David Patterson will be in Albany to begin formal hearings on Bill No.S02858, which would allow the New York State Athletic Commission to regulate the sport. UFC President Dana White is already sketching plans for a show in Madison Square Garden

Umaga Makes Return

January 5th 2009 12:44
Umaga, The Samoan Bulldozer, made his in-ring return to WWE at last night's SmackDown house show in Tyler, Texas in a match against Hurricane Helms. Umaga was victorious with the Samoan Spike.

Umaga has been out since the beginning of August with a torn PCL that did not require surgery. He has been healthy for months now, however, was asked to lose weight before he was brought back to TV. WWE has began promoting his return to SmackDown with vignettes

Christian Cage returning to WWE is considered to be a done deal at this point. Christian is believed to have agreed to terms on a deal with the company and has either signed it or is getting ready to sign it.

The question now is how WWE plans to utilise him once he does come back. There have been suggestions to have him return at the Royal Rumble in January although some creative members feel that they should do a prolonged build to give him more momentum

Batista Undergoes Surgery

December 27th 2008 04:28
After his skull was mistaken for a football by Randy Orton on the Dec. 15 edition of Monday Night Raw, Batista was knocked out and put out of action indefinitely due to a head injury. While recuperating from the perfectly directed kick to the head, it has been learned that during his recovery, The Animal has also elected to undergo surgery to repair a hamstring tear.
Ironically, the hamstring was injured at SummerSlam, in the same match that World Heavyweight Champion John Cena was forced out of action with a neck injury.

Dolph Ziggler vs Santa Claas

December 17th 2008 12:42
It started with Santa handing out presents to the crowd, and ended up with Dolph Ziggler dropping Santa to the ground with some sort of reverse bulldog. Just to put people's minds to rest, it wasn't the real Santa. It was Charlie Haas in a Santa suit, introduced as Santa Claas from the South Pole.

He started handing out presents, then tried to give a present to Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler wanted no part of it, and told the ref to ring the bell

Is Being a Heel Losing Its Edge?

September 12th 2008 16:33
Now I have to be honest. It is very hard to be a heel these days. I see them all the time and there are those that get cheered. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the job of a heel supposed to get the crowds to boo the heel? I could have sworn that was their job and it makes it even harder when people just cheer them. Why do you think certain people turn face like Mr. Kennedy for example? People were cheering him and he was intended to be a heel.

WWE Hall of Fame 2009

September 1st 2008 15:52
Well, as you all ready know Wrestlemania 25 will be in Texas. By that logic, it most likely will be a Texas-based theme. I was thinking about it and it's a real good indication that it will have a good chunk of stars involved. There is talk I think about Stone Cold wrestling one more match. I'm not so sure if it would be wise and the bigger question would be who would get in the ring with him? It's not going to be Hulk Hogan as he has his own problems to deal with like his son and various injuries over the years of being involved in the wrestling business.

Thoughts on Ric Flair's Departure

August 25th 2008 00:50
As all of you know, Ric Flair has left the WWE and is currently doing tours for independent promotions mainly in the form of signing autographs. I do not see him wrestling in any independent or any company because the way he went out was so great, anything else would come up short. I don't think he will ever find a better opponent to have a better match with than Shawn Michaels for his final encounter.

I know there's the history with him and Sting but I'm afraid that's done and over with and wouldn't have nearly the same impact as it did in the past. Sure, it would be nice and all but it really isn't necessary and in my personal opinion, won't be able to pass up his last match earlier this year

Smackdown – Charlotte, North Carolina

The show started off with a video montage hyping up Edge and Vickie Guerrero’s wedding. We then go immediately to the wedding where Chavo is being asked for the rings. He pretended he didn’t have them for a moment, but then handed them over. I was very surprised that they got it over with so quickly. Unfortunately we still had to sit through their wedding reception. After they brought everyone out Chavo wanted to say something. He read off a cheesy speech which led into talking about Edge’s match against Triple H at the pay-per-view. Next Edge talked very briefly. The wedding party would stay seated at the top of the ramp in full wedding attire as the show got underway.
