WWE Hall of Fame 2009

Well, as you all ready know Wrestlemania 25 will be in Texas. By that logic, it most likely will be a Texas-based theme. I was thinking about it and it's a real good indication that it will have a good chunk of stars involved. There is talk I think about Stone Cold wrestling one more match. I'm not so sure if it would be wise and the bigger question would be who would get in the ring with him? It's not going to be Hulk Hogan as he has his own problems to deal with like his son and various injuries over the years of being involved in the wrestling business.
2009 WWE Hall of Fame
I think that honestly the reasons are pretty simple for each of them. The biggest one will be probably Stone Cold because I'm guessing he'll be the main star to be inducted and the rest will be supporting as well right or wrong. It is a bit soon and a bit surprising but at the same time it isn't. While I thought he would get inducted, I thought it would be a few more years before consideration. Probably due to his retirement back in 2003 and the fact he hasn't been in the ring in that long probably could explain it. He would have gotten in sooner or later because of the impact he had during the Attitude Era. You would say The Rock as well but he won't get in now because they may want him to be the star of another Hall of Fame. No question he'll get in at some point in time.
The Funks will probably get in and they are at least that I know of the only brothers to have held the NWA World Championship. Now, I never saw much of Dory Funk because I believe he was close to retirement or getting there but Terry I have seen. He was pretty solid for when he was competing though he's famous for his constant retirement speeches only to come out of it some time later. I'm not sure why say you're going to retire but then you don't but that's another story for another time. The last mainstream appearance was at One Night Stand in 2006 and boy he was not in good condition. He was limping and it's probably a good thing he didn't stick around much longer. It would have been hard on his body. He's not exactly young and is even older than Ric Flair.
The Von Erichs will most likely get in as they were the faces of WCCW. The only one that has made it in the WWF would be Kerry but he didn't last long. The only thing that may hinder them is the suicides except for Kevin. That's with the younger Von Erichs honestly. Since they inducted Verne Gagne though he never to my knowledge worked for WWE got inducted, it'd be natural to go for them. Instead of one at a time, just get them all in and then be done with it.
The Freebirds were huge in WCCW and had an impact with the rock music and maybe being tweeners. Some liked them and some didn't. The biggest feud was with the Von Erichs bar none in the WCCW area.
