TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
Champions The Latin American Xchange- Homicide & Hernandez vs. Team 3D - Brother Ray and Brother Devon
We've seen this match before, but now in LAX's corner is Hector Guerrero and Salinas instead of Konan. Also the match is now for the TNA titles, rather than the storied NWA titles since the NWA backed out of affiliation with TNA. Any time LAX gets in the ring the match is going to be exciting. They often remind me of The Gangstas from the original ECW, only more athletic and innovative. Hernandez is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the business today, be nice to see him get a chance as a singles wrestler at some point in the heavyweight division. In case you can't already tell, I am picking LAX to successfully defend their titles. It will probably involve LAX using a table brought into the ring by Devon to finish Team 3D off, but before that point in the match I have a feeling Hector might find his way through a table.
Awesome Kong's $25,000 Challenge
This is getting a bit annoying, but if you notice each opponent is a little better than the last. I am sure they will work some of the opponents into the TNA Knockout division. Thus far, I hope Daffney is the first to be signed and used.
SPOILER ALERT: I am about to tell you who Kong's opponent will most likely be, if you don't want to know stop reading here and scroll past this point.
Kong's opponent tonight will be Shantelle Taylor. Taylor has been part of the WWE under a developmental contract, but was released last August. She has done well on the Independent circuits, and looks to break through in TNA. I look for Taylor to do much better than the previous opponents, but I doubt she will win. Although, if someone is going to win, I am sure it would be at a pay-per-view. Plus what better way to get Taylor into the spotlight than by beating the Women's Champion.
X Division championship Match
Champion Little Petey Pump Petey Williams vs. Kaz
This should be a fast-pace exciting match. i believe Kaz will actually win and become the new X Division Champion. The X Division has been lacking quite a bit as of late on the weekly show, but as I pointed out they finally had a match on this week's Impact. Kaz at the top of the division should get some interest back into the division.
Jay Lethal & So Cal Val get married
This is supposed to be a star-studded event. All of the following people are expected to show up; American Idol finalist Ace Young, George "The Animal" Steel, Koko B. Ware, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Kamala. This is worth watching just to see those four wrestlers from long ago. Sonjay Dutt will speak up rather than hold his peace when the minister asks. Be a nice twist if they can manage to have Brother Love marry them. In the end I think the marriage will be put on hold for one reason or another, possibly when Dutt speaks up he has a racy video of him and Val or something.
Six-Lady TNA Knockouts Match
Gail Kim, ODB and Roxxi vs. The Beautiful People - Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Mickie Knuckles
Gail Kim makes her return to in ring action. This match should be controlled by Kim, ODB and Roxxi, although Knuckles will probably take over at some point and get the pin. This should launch some sort of one on one feud between her and ODB.
"The Phenomenal One" AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle
This grudge match has the potential to be the best match of the night. These two could put on one of the most aathletic and exciting matches in recent history. That is of course if Kurt Angle is fully cleared to even be at the PPV. If he isn't fully cleared we may still get the match, just a less dangerous version of it. If he is all set look for fast-paced mat action, as well as some high flying action from the now returning to prominence version of The Phenomenal One. In the end Kurt probably wins, or we have a double DQ.
King of the Mountain Match for the TNA Heavyweight Championship
Special Ring Enforcer: Kevin Nash
Champion Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode vs. Booker T vs. "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage vs. "The War Machine" Rhino
This match always has a lot of action, usually too much for the cameras to keep up with. Usually the champ gong in isn't the champ coming out. This is good because Joe is better on the bottom working his way to the top, rather than being at the top. I do believe Booker T gets appeased and wins the title for a brief time. this spawns a battle between him and Christian Cage. Alternatively, in an attempt to show Kaz is a real up and comer the new X Division champ after tonight gets a title shot this coming Thursday on Impact, maybe he beats Booker to hold both belts. Kaz of course loses it after a week to someone.
Full Video Preview of TNA's Slammiversary
This should be a rather good PPV in the end with some surprises along the way. Be sure to watch for Abyss's return to TNA. I am not quite sure where he fist in with the current list of matches, unless it is maybe to interfere in the King of the Mountain match. He could possibly be put into an unlisted match with someone like Matt Morgan, which could actually be a pretty good match to watch. Hopefully his return doesn't mean James Mitchell returns right away too.
